Cold In Texas
Happy November 2019! For those who do not know, I am located in Austin, Texas and we have had a bit of a cold spell. It actually got down to freezing! It is usually so warm all year here that I realized I only had one sweater in my closet. Actually, it wasn't really a sweater. It was a long sleeve puller over type of shirt. Then it was cold for a second day in a row so I had to see if I had a jacket hidden somewhere in my closet. That may seem crazy for those who live in the cold weather up north. The good news is that I survived the cold and we are back to 70-degree weather.
The real purpose of me writing this is to really just kick off writing on this blog on my web site that keeps sending me messages to WRITE!
So here I am!
I hope that as I write here that it becomes a safe place for y'all to interact with me and express your ideas and opinions. I'll leave you with this quote from one of my favorite books.
“Being able to feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health; safe connections are fundamental to meaningful and satisfying lives.” ― Bessel A. van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma
